Information for Potential Installations
Ensure the highest standards of safety with our defibrillator installations, all recommended by the Yorkshire Ambulance Service (YAS).
Safe cabinets
To qualify for our financial support the installation MUST be available to the public 24/7. Within Rotherham the Defib Safe2 Cabinet is provided free of charge.
Defibrillators
We can supply a WelMedical iPAD SPR semi-automatic defibrillator for a donation of £950*

Points to consider
- It is essential that a Guardian is appointed to do a regular quick check (2 mins) every 1 to 2 weeks and to be the named contact on The Circuit.
- Installation of the unit is the responsibility of the ‘Applicant’.
- Choose a site with plenty of footfall and ideally within 600 meters of regular residencies or well used areas. S-a-H can do site visits if required.
- The heat controlled cabinets need a qualified electrician for installation.
- Uses less than £5 electricity per year to run.
- On completion of installation the unit needs to be registered online on the National Database ‘The Circuit.’
- Defibrillator batteries last about 5 years and cost approx. £250* to replace. Defibrillator pads need replacing after use and in any case after 2 years, cost approximately £75*.
- S-a-H are unable to fund these but can provide a customised collection box for donations to help you fund your consumables.
